The Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect is worth the money. Me and all my friends play it till we can't move. It will get you up off the couch and doing something active.

I was skeptical about getting this but it was on a lightning deal on Black Friday so I took the dive. Awesome! I see the popularity now. The Dec 2011 update is great and makes the Kinect so much more powerful to navigate the menus and get quick controls and access to content. You practically only need the controller for games that require one (and perhaps a couple of popup menues).

If you have an Xbox360 and don't have a Kinect you're missing out on what makes it a great user experience. Simply put. I'm very happy with the game selection and the range of accessories. Keep in mind that you'll need to buy a costly hard drive to full use of this device. 4GB is simply not enough for anyone with a half decent collection of games.

Pros:
- Great game selection
- Motion control through Kinect is a BREAKTHROUGH!
- Lots of streaming services available with more to come
- Unnoticeable noise especially if you install the games
- Voice control of video playback through voice
- Cloud storage for saved games! have them available anywhere with an internet connection

Cons:
- You have to pay for Xbox Live Gold membership to use streaming services you already pay for
- High power consumption, like other consoles of this generation
- 4GB hard not enough for some (most?) gamers

PS: took one point mostly because 4GB isn't enough, a 20GB would have been an acceptable starter solution, but then how would Microsoft force your hand into buying an extremely overpriced $140 320GB hard drive. (for that much money you can get a 2 TB external HDD)
